I have a 2003 jeep grand cherokee when you turn off the engine the electric fan won,t shut off with the engine and will run until you pull the fuse or disconect the batt. Can anyone help.:???:

checked under hood power disterbution center none of the relays in that box were i pulled would stop the fan having trouble finding it. even in the owners book nothing taged for the fan except for the fuse.

You will need a 3-4 inch hole saw. Remove the passenger side headlamp .The plastic base where the bottom of the headlamp sits, look for a small slit and see if you can locate the position of the radiator fan relay then drill the access hole to remove and replace the rad. fan relay. Make sure that the mounting surface is clean and use a small amount of dielectric grease on the back of the relay before mounting it back on the fender well.

1 is the location of the relay. To temporarily turn off the rad. fan. Pull off the 15A fuse in the junction block or the 40A fuse in the Power Distribution Center .

Glad that you got it fixed. That Hole saw service information is to make it easier to service the relay in the future instead of removing the facia and grill assembly appart.
