help wont star

please help my brothers jeep died the other day and wont star now i have cheked for fuel and spark both are good it cranks but dosent cough spit sputter are nothing

anything out of the normal before it died? some more info about the jeep might be more helpful.

it is a 1987 cherokee 4.0l any imput is appreciated

Try the ignition wires I have a 96 Grand Cherokee 4.0 I6 and mine shut off and I got those replaced and it worked like new again

did it still crank when it shut off

You say fuel and apart exists. What about injector pulse? If it just died like that then it sounds electrical.

Yea it did when ever it wanted to lol but that's probably the problem
