Help me price a soft top

I ordered a soft top from a great Jeepz vendor, Morris 4x4 and had some fitting trouble that they very promptly remedied. I got the Bestop Sailcloth Replace-a-top and the drivers side window wouldn't fit. I could make it zip but it was very very hard and I had to get a hook on the zipper for leverage. After talking to Bestop they determined that the top was missewn so Morris sent me a new top skin w/o windows. New top, same problem. Call Morris back and they send me a new window and problem solved. Morris told me if there was no RMA number with the second top then no need to return it.

So, I've got a brand new, nothing wrong with, Khaki colored, Sailcloth soft top skin. What should I sell it for?

New soft top with windows - $639
Replacement windows - $239

Technically it's worth $400 by that math but the question is what is reasonable but not giving it away? $300? $350? Or should I use it for bargaining when I sell the Jeep this summer?

If I bought a soft top from someone and it doesn't work because it was mis-sewn and I was now stuck with it....I would be very ****ed off, especially if I paid 300$ or half the cost of a new top. keep it and let it go when you sell the jeep or advertise it as a mis-sen top and expect 1/3 to 1/4 the cost.

I may not have been clear enough. They thought the first top was missewn but it was actually the window that was bad. The top is in perfect condition. Regardless, I'm thinking about letting it go for $50 to a guy from the local Jeep site. He's had a bit of bad luck and could really use a new top.

to a fellow club member, 50 thats a steal. Your a good man to help a fellow club member like that. Maybe I didnt understand but if it was just a window, then I wouldnt have minded paying 3-4 bills. Heck if you can get them to last 7+ years down here in Az your doing good.

Always deal honestly and it's likely you will get dealt with honestly.......like your supplier did for you. My thoughts........ you pay now..... or you pay later. Later is with fire...... uh if you know what I mean....
