2002 Wrangler....all electrical is powered....occassionally have to rock it to start it...in other words...the gear shift button will not push in...but after rocking it starter engages and off you go. Is there a switch or adjustment somewhere on gear shift linkage or transmission?

If its a manual transmission, bypass the clutch pedal switch by installing a jumper and see if thats whats causing it. A safety neutral switch on automatic transmissions could also cause that issue. My suggestion is to check the starter circuit for a 12v(battery voltage) when the key is engaged to the start position. Chances are, the starter solenoid is giving you a bad contact and by rocking the jeep back and forth, the solenoid eventually gets set back into the contacts and enables you to start the vehicle.
