HAS ANYONE DONE THIS?

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HERE HAS PUT WIDE-TRAC AXLES ON A CJ-5. I AM THINKING ABOUT DOING IT AND WONDERING IF IT WOULD BE WORTH THE TIME AND INVESTMENT. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER I AM GOING TO PUT NEW ALXES, I WILL CHANGE THE GEAR RATIO, MAKE IT INTO A ONE PIECE AXLE, AND PUT LOCKERS IN THE REAR AND FRONT. I WILL BE RUNNING 35's. SO, IS IT WORTH IT?

Is it a daily driver, what will it be used for , ....give us a little more info...engine size???

I have the straight six, 258, it has just been rebuilt. I will use it as a daily driver, as well as have some fun, probably about 75/25 ratio.

Make sure your state laws allow your tires to stick out....:)

Also make sure the pic on your sig is as large as possible  Just razzin ya, J

You'll probably have to weld on outriggers to hang the leaf springs from, and going to flexy YJ springs while your at it would be a good idea.

Look at Scout axles, front and rear D44 and a little wider than widetrack CJ axles.
