Hard to warm up

6 Cyl 258 84 CJ7 It takes 10 minutes or more to get it warmed up to where it won't die. Once it's warmed up, there are no issues until the next morning. Any ideas/suggestions?

Automatic choke? You might want to check and make sure that it's working right.

Check the thermostat. It could be corroded and not closing properly when the engine is cold. If you have not changed it in some time, it might just be worth it to put in a new one.

Did it ever warm up faster? If so, any changes to the engine or engine systems since it ran better?
