I was thinking about buying grand Cherokee with a v8 and I was wondering How does it do going down the road with a wrangler on a car trailer. it should have enough power, but is it too much weight.

What year Grand? A lot will depend on the tow rating, as well as the combined weight of the loaded trailer.

I tow my YJ with my '05 Hemi Grand.

I was thinking a 2002 its says with a towing package for a I6- 5000lbs and the V8 at 6500. but how does it handle at freeway speeds? I want to got to the blessings again this year and its 250 miles from here also I want to go to pa in june at the bantam jeep festival

You'll be pushing that tow rating with a 5000 lb Jeep on a 1000 lb trailer. While the Grand will have the power to move the load, you should be concerned with inadequate brakes and a lighter tow rig being inadequate to control the trailer. Often times the tail will wag the dog, if you know what I mean.
