Glub, Glub, Glub....

Awright, enough with the damn rain already!!! It has rained 24 out of 30 days this month, and I'm sick of it!! It's rained 45 of the last 60 days!! We're sitting at just over 26" of rain so far this year, and the normal annual rainfall amount is just over 30". One area SE of us has had over 20" in just the past 3 days, which is half of their average annual rainfall. There are places near here that are as much as 24" over the average normal rainfall for this time of year. We're about a foot over right now, 5" over for the month of June. It's killing business, half our customers haven't turned on their irrigation systems, and the other half have hardly even used theirs, if at all. When they ain't running, they ain't breaking, and when they ain't breaking, Sparky ain't making money! :x Stop the freakin' rain already!!!!! :x

Heh... It's rained once here in about the last three weeks... A nice downpour, just in time to green up the park for the fireworks this Sunday... We have not been out mowing grass in two weeks. Even with the sprinkler systems, City Hall, DPS, the Court, the Library, and the police station are all crispy... Kind of a bummer really, it's far too dry 'round here... Send some of that rain this way, would ya?

I know what you mean, it has killed construction / ag business around here.
It has helped my lawns that I mow grow faster though.

We've got quite enough ourselves, thank you. And worse yet, all your rain will be comin' down here (Mississippi River) and messin' up my workplace

If I was in my Jeep, I wouldn't mind so much..........but I drive a little 4wd Ranger and do a lot of walkin'..........in the "Louisian Gumbo" that's not much fun, trust me.

Wish we could re-route it to California, Tahoe, and North Florida/South Georgia......................need to put out some fires!!

It's been dry as a popcorn fart around here. Never seen the grass so burned up in June :(

Amazing how much the weather affects us, and how little we realize it when the weather patterns are "normal".

TC,
You are experiencing "global warming" while Sparky and me are experiencing "global cooling" it's good science, don't you understand??:D

I think you guys have seen enough rain for a while. We have only got about an inch here, but the sun started to shine today so maybe drier times are ahead! We have friends that live South of Emporia and the last I talked to them every road to get out was flooded, so they have been stuck at home for a while.

We haven't had much flooding around Hutchinson lately. We've had a heavy mist all freakin week though which has screwed up mywork schedule. Can't wash many cars with it rainin. Wish I had the ol' YJ back so I could go do some muddin, haha. I think most of the floodin is in SE Kansas. Hey I guess theres a bright side, atleast now we can shoot of some fireworks. The past couple of years fireworks have been banned in many places because it was so dry.
