Getting new bumpers

Anyone bought from JCR offroad (http://www.jcroffroad.com/)

The bumpers are exactly what I'm looking for at the perfect price, just wondering how they hold up and if they install easily. Maybe, more importantly, have they held up under difficult situations?

Also, since they don't do finishing I'm looking to lay down some sort of Rhino-type liner (seems like a good choice). Anyone know of pro/cons between:

  • Rhino
  • Line-x
  • herculiner
I'm leaning towards herculiner since it's roll-on (don't get me started about peoples thoughts in San Francisco about spraying any substance...ha)

Thanks!

I had dura liner on my bumpers similar to the ones your looking at peeled of in less than a year . so I had them sand blasted to remove the remaining now they are painted with a industrial enamel that is baked on which seems to hold up a lot better
these have been painted about 6 years ago and still look good

hope this helps

They make great products but if you're in a hurry find someone else because they build after you order and it may take a month before they ship.

Thanks for the quick replies. Seems a bit odd that it would peel since it holds up well in truck beds. What all did you do for prep?

No hurry on the bumpers although it would be nice to have they yesterday :) If it's quality I can wait.

Well worth the wait. I painted the ones I built with the rattle can bed liner and it chipped off. I just use cheap flat black paint now so it's easy to touch up. Powder coat would be ideal but mine is a trail rig and my money goes elsewhere.

At my work we use hurculiner on our dump trucks and equipment where the paint would always get beat up and it has held up amazing. Every year we touch it up because it fades but as far as protection you can't beat the stuff for the price.
