i'm going to be replacing the rear brake pads on my jeep in the morning, i know for a fact that i have to replace one of the rotors as well, my question is, if the other rotor is fine, can i leave it? or in your experience, is it wise to replace rotors in pairs as you would pads? thanks in advance.

You could have it turn down at a local auto store for about $15. but if you intend on keeping the Jeep for awhile just buy a new one. I think they run ~$50.00 each. Just don't leave it in the way it is because you new that completely flat surface to mate up to the new pad.

done, i had bought two rotors with the intentions of returning the second if i didnt really need it, but i figured i had it and took your guys' advice and just put it on. nice to have good sounding brakes again (silence is bliss).
