general brake question

I've got a minor brake problem that I've diagnosed, I had two effed up front calipers, which I've replaced, no problem

the rear drums are pretty worn b/c one of the calipers was locked up and doing little braking apparently-so those are going tomorow as are the rear brake cylinders are going to be replaced also

but I've got 214k on my jeep and I'm concerned that the whole thing may just need an overhaul (I get a little crazy sometimes and just go whole hog)

any of you high mileage jeepers know, or care to offer advice on whether or not I should yank the booster and master cylinder, I have no reason to believe they're bad, but just trying to be cautious, this baby has miles on her and she's gonna get more

Leave the master and booster, just change all the brake fluid and keep an eye out for corroded hard-lines.

On my old YJ, when I re-bent some of my brake lines the end result was 2 sticking calipers and black brake fluid. After replacing the calipers I had the system flushed. That did the job for me.

RE: Ran out of Gas

OK gang just wanted to say thanks for you're advice, I got all brakes replaced, new rotors calipers up front (one was missing the guide pins!) no wonder they got hung up, replaced the back wheel cylinders and the master cylinder b/.c there was some corrosion built up on the booster under where the master cylinder bolts up. So far alls well, did some driving this weekend after the big fix and it seems to be tip top! Thanks!
