a buddy of mine owns an auction house, and he called me today to tell me about some jeep parts that he got in. one thing that grabbed my attention was a set of 4:11 gears with a locker. dont know what kind of locker, but this is something that i can get very cheap. what is something like this worth?


oh yeah they came out of an 87 wrangler with the 258, and mine is a 95 with the 4 cyl.

its not the engine size that is needed to know.. it is what type of dana axle did it come out of? Most jeeps came with a dana 30 in the front and a dana 35 in the rear. You need to know what type it came out of and what type you own.

The Jeep it came out of would have been a Dana 35 rear and Dana 30 front. At least that's what the '87 4cyl. had.

Does he have the front and rear?

yeah i should have said that differently.........they are both d35's. 88wrangles, no its only the rear.

very serious :lol: .......a friend of mine owns an auction house and is selling them. he didnt think that they would even bring 5 bucks. its a farmers auction this week and he picked these up from a guy that upgraded his axels and transmission. it is a peugot transmission (not sure if it works) and the front and rear axels out of an 87. the axels are locked (lincoln) with 4:11 gears. he is going to start the bid at 5 bucks and he is positive that i will be the only one there that will want them.
