Hey guys you could probably help me, i just bought a 98 TJ 4banger and I want to change all the fluids so could you guys tell me what kind of oil I need for the manual transmission and the differentials? thanks [addsig]

manual transmission... Redline MT90 from summit or another supplier... or Pennzoil Synchromesh from a parts store... they both work wonders...

a standard gear oil will work for the diffs

then you'll want to go with ATF for the transfer case[addsig]

So Synchromesh does not have the corrosive stuff that messes up gears? Great. I've been looking for the Redline, but non of the parts stores carry it. I guess you have to order it. I've been meaning to ask where I could get it, but this helps. Thanks Snitty.-Al[addsig]

80w-90w will work for the diff's
it will say gear oil on the bottle.... :-D [addsig]

no the synchromesh is not corrosive... it is formulated to be gentle[addsig]
