gauge problem

My gauges all work in park and neutral,but not in any other gear. Any ideas where to start on this

What year Jeep, model (I'm guessing Wrangler), engine size, transmission?????? Basic stuff those who will help you need to know.

sorry how dumb of me. It is a 99 wrangler 2.5 automatic I know little about the history and being an "island car" here in St Thomas anything may be island rigged.
