gas tank skid

any recommendations on a gas tank skid for a 2000 XJ? i'm very lazy so something that doesn't require me to remove the gas tank is a plus, i'd like to just bolt it right over.

I'll have to look into rusty's..no pictures so i can't get an idea of mounting for it

Plenty of pics up & a basic template for making the skid. I didn't have a welder either at that time & just made the template & had a local shop weld it up for me.

Not now they don't! :welder: (But yeah, those springs were definitely beat to death... even the aal's were toast.)

Skid row automotive makes one that goes on even if you have a factory one already it just goes right over all of it.

That's the way I designed this one. Goes over top of everything. Can be made to fit with or without hitch. Guess it really depends on if ya want to fab something up or buy it ready to go. Skid Row makes good stuff.
