gas mileage

I was just wondering how good of gas mileage would a stock XJ (95-02 appx.)?? would a two door get better gas mileage than a 4 door??thanks

on average, my '90 XJ (auto trans) got about 15-16 mpg, and my '94 XJ (manual trans) gets about 19-20 mpg...

i doubt 2 door vs. 4 door is relevant when comparing mileage, even the wheelbases are the same.

I get about 16-18 city MPG and 20-22 highway MPG in my 2001 XJ(auto). I got about 18-19 city MPG and 21-23 Highway MPG in my 95 XJ (Manual). I don't believe the 2 door 4 door comparision is any different. Should be the same wheel base.

21 MPG highway on mine before the mods. I don't want to know what I get now
