FYI - 4Wheel Parts/4Wheel Drive Hardware

I found out last month that 4WheelParts Wholesale bought 4Wheel Drive Hardware. I've never been that impressed with 4WPW customer service and selection, but from what I saw in the store it looks like at least the selection has improved.

4Wheel Parts did me right on the seats I ordered. They were already on sale, then they kicked in for the shipping, gave me a rockcrawler toy and a $50 gift card.
The rear seat came in with the box partially torn and the brackets missing. I called them about a month later and the salesperson even put me on hold while he contacted the mfg to arrange for the replacements. The brackets arrived about 3 days later.
I was totally satisfied. Still don't know what to buy with my $50 gift card though.

just curious as a side note

With snatch blocks starting out at $50 and up, have any of you bought one of those on ebay?
They look fine and they have a listed load rating, but they are not a name brand.
They are about 1/2 price.. what do you all think?

I have a Warn one that I have never used. I also have a generic Harbor Freight that has the hook and pulley. I couldn't say that the Warn one has any benefit over the El cheapo HF.

Buy me one of those cool rock-crawler RC toys!8)
For $45 you can get one of the cool remote control ones at Wal-Mart. It's got Baja Claws, coilovers, etc... I bought one to have on my recent beach trip. It was cool on the beach with a homemade obstacle course. It's pretty boring in the driveway.

4 Wheel Parts customer service does suck. It's like you're bothering them when you are there to buy... Attitude stinks...

I took an R/C toy and took everything off of it. I mounted a video camera on top. Takes great videos. I can move the car where I want it, then use the camcorder remote to start and stop the video. Makes for cool shots from above and you can even get videos of your Jeep from the bottom up!

I have used my Warn snatchblock many a time (expecially in Winter). But the function is basic. As long as it stays together and the rope/cable stays in place, it should work...

Hmmm.....I could get some use out of that at a college campus in the springtime.....

Sparky is such a dirty old man....
