Anything with that many wires is going to be tough but it can be done. Good Luck

Most people here would recommend just swapping the whole harness with a painless wiring kit...

I've looked at this and personally i think they are charging WAY MORE than they need to for this.

Recently though i've been considering just buying a whole new fuse box from painless wiring and just going to town with store bought wire and splices. I'm not too bad with electrical work and it could save me a few hundred.

I wont be thining about taking something like that on until spring when it warms up a little. I'd have to pull off the hard top to get at all the wires properly and i just got that damn thing seated right, so i'm not touching it![addsig]

the great thing about cjs are there is no engine mangament computer or anything of that nature and my I sugest just by any fuse box the one in my jeep is from a 96 camaro and my jeep is a 91 but you will find that the fuse box to chevy and fords a cheaper they all still have flasher and silenoids they're just a diff shape but all in they are easyer to work with because instead of having (IF its like mine) the main wire coming into the fuse box welded the one to the comaro actually has a male female end then all you have to do is run the the hot from the batery get a good soldering gun and go to town takes a good four or five hours but you will have boocoos more space for extra stuff my freind is curently working on his 79 from out of a dodge i think but a fuse box is a fuse box. just rember where it goes take a lot of pictures will help you in the long run so you dont have to remember every little detail I got my fuse box out of that car for 15 dollars at a local swap meet/carlot/junk yard good luck I will try and post a picture
