fuel tank size on 97 TJ (CANADIAN)

My jeep was in a side impact crash and the fuel pump was trashed. I pulled the tank and pump, but cannot figure out the size of the tank, the supply houses say there are 15 gallon and 19 gallon sizes, 19 being the option and the pumps are different. How do I know which one I have. I can't seem to determine and can't find a part number reference page to verify my part number. any suggestions?

Just pull the pump and take it to the parts house with you. They should be able to determine the right pump and tank from that. Also you can contact chrysler and request a build sheet for you jeep. It should list every option that it had from the factory.

Gallons.. I thought you hosers used Litres?

measure the depth of the tank, get the pump that fits. should be a spring loaded pump so the actual measurement will be about a 1/2-3/4 inch longer, but can compress to the length you need.
