I was actually talking to a girl (pretty too) that was a welder. Darn it I should have pursued her more lol.
And yes I have deer whistlers, I haven't found them to work well. I hit my deer with the whistlers, it didn't seem to do anything at all.

Unfortunately, deer whistles don't work. There isn't much data out there on the subject, but what little there is points to the ultimate failure of deer whistles. In fact, one study I found several years back seemed to suggest that deer whistles actually actracted deer!!

The Kansas Highway Patrol did a study a few years ago with deer whistles on half of their patrol vehicles, and there was no difference in the number of deer hit with vehicles with whistles as opposed to those without. I believe the number of deer hit by the KHP on average is in the neighborhood of 1700 per year. I may be wrong on that, it's been a while since I read the report, but for some reason that number sounds right.
