Fremont / Newark CA - What to do?

Well, I'm in Fremont CA for the weekend. I'm from the East Coast... PA near Philly. I've been out here on business for about a month. This is the first weekend that I probably won't have to work. I got a chance to hit Pt. Lobos and Wow was that beautiful! I've got pics that you can count the hairs on a dear's head. Just amazing!

I'm thinking about heading to The CA Grand Casino for a little bit of cards this weekend. Anyone have opinions on the place? I don't feel like sitting in the hotel all weekend. Is anyone having a low stakes poker game that they wouldn't mind a new player in?

Any other suggestions for the weekend?

Thanks,

X

I have never been to the Grand Casino before but I worked out in San Jose for a while last year too. I got a good suggestion for you though. I made a trip to south Lake Tahoe when I was up there. Its like a 3 hour drive depending on traffic. If you like the out doors the area is amazing. Plus there are a ton of casinos right in town. It was a good time. Too bad ski season hasnt started cause Heavenly and Kirkwood are fun.

Dude, go to the City. SF has food, history, museums, the warf, cable cars, alcatraz, the golden gate bridge, sports, THE Chinatown, Japantown, the beach, aquariums, etc. The amount of things to do is overwhelming.

Go to fisherman's warf, get some dungeoness crab, some sourdough and sit on pier 39 and watch the seals. It's unreal.

The seals are cool...so is the bush man. There is some guy who sits on a crate and has some branches in front of him. As people walk by he jumps out and scares them. Hilarious as all hell. We were eating outside and watchinghim for 30 mins straight.
