I hate the situation, but I really feel for these refs. The league basically took 3rd graders and handed them SAT tests. They're in shock, esp with no seasoned refs on the field to mentor them. If something doesn't happen soon, these poor elementary refs are going to decide who makes it to the playoffs.

I'm a Steelers fan, but last game made me sad; even tho we lost, we had the refs on our team. The Steelers were playing like days of yore and nary a penalty flag to be thrown.

Very true. They were literally thrown to the wolves. If it continues, it's going to get real ugly as some players and coaches take advantage of the situation. I just hope the injuries don't start climbing.

I've heard an NFL ref makes $9500 a game. Not sure what they're askin' for but that seems kinda cheap when you figure in how much weighs on their decisions and some players can make a million a game. I'd like to know what the NFL makes as an industry in proffit. They get a percentage of EVERYTHING. The Superbowl is one of the most watched shows there is and the commercials are crazy expensive. I'd say the proffit that's made is shameful.

i am a 49ers fan too!!!! i love the 49ers and grew up watching htem and hte lakers. go niners!!!

When to root for the Browns... When they increase Pittsburgh's chances of winning the division. Lol
