Flow Master

Hey every one I want to get a flow master muffler put on and I went to mienekie for a estimate and they want $325 for just the muffler back. Is that I good deal or is it a little expensive, I also asked how much it would cost for dual exuast but he never called me back.

too much, only because the quality of the work will most likely be crap. Buy your own flowmaster from an auto parts store, or online, call a local exhaust shop and dont pay more than $250

you can buy a flowmaster cat back from rustys offroad for less then that. and put it on yourself

I run the 40 series but it's borderline too loud. I bought the muffler at a local parts store for like 75 bucks and took it to a local muffler shop and they put it in for 50 bucks. For $325 I could get a whole header back system put in and have money left over.

Around here in Sacramento, Ca. a Cat back runs less than $250 installed

I LOVE Flowmaster 40's on V8s, and thought one would sound good on my XJ 4.0, I think it sounds like total s#@t, it sounds like one of those rice burners with a coffee can muffler. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't go with a 40, probably not any flowmaster, but if you used one of the quieter, milder series it might not sound bad. Just my opinion, lol. I put mine on myself with about a foot piece of straight pipe after the muffler with a turndown on that. Good luck with whatever you do bud.
