Flat spot or slight bog tj 4.0

Hi occasional I will get what seems to be a flat spot in mid range rpm or a slight big if I gas all the way it clears up , it’s not everyday just sometimes, could it be a clogged cat? 98 tj 4.0 thanks

Take note if it is the same pedal position.
The TPS has been known to get dead spots. So you press on the skinny pedal and when you hit that point you stop accelerating. Once you pass the dead spot the engine quickly catches up.

You could try to take it off and spray tec duster or compressed air in there then put it back on and manually exercise the butterfly valve 30-50 times. Sometimes this can clear it up.

Only use OEM sensors.
