That is cool. I think the YJ rules... but I prefer round. If I get a SWB Jeep, It'll probably be either the CJ or YJ with round grille.

Now on XJ's I prefer square.

Why would anyone want to ruin a perfectly good YJ?

I wouldnt want to trade a YJ's squares anymore than trade a CJ or TJ's rounds.

Booo to the conversion! I like the squares too... sure the YJ is like the kid in school that still wears "Hammer Pants" and shaves stripes into his hair on the side of his head, but you gotta respect him for that! You watch, the squares will come back in the new Wrangler model, then you will all be sorry you coverted!

O.K. Now they need to make a conversion kit for TJs to make round headlights square so more people can have the cooler square headlights as square headlights rule!!

haha.. i like outer's idea... but.. if i did it.. it would be for "what the hell?" reasons... so people would look, and not understand what is happening... a subtle conversion... something that most people on the road won't notice.. but jeep enthusiests will be boggled about... i probably won't do it... but have thought a lot about it...

if i get grill dropped in my lap... i'll do it

hahahah, some interesting thoughts here.....I think the round conversion is cool....would love to see it actually on a YJ...as far as which one is better..I like them both really, wouldn't mind doing the change just to set mine off from all other YJs out there...but I do like the squares also.

LOL. I don't own a YJ, but if I did I'd certainly keep the squares. I like the round lights on the TJ, but also like how the squares look on the YJs. So I guess what I really mean is this: I like Jeeps, Period. Seems kind of trivial to be worried so much over the shape of your headlights. :mrgreen:

im a square and im damn proud, conversions to round headlights are an embarassment to everyone with a yj unless your dying to have cool round headlights
