Good Lord Tug, you're too much!!!!!

Quinners, I hate you!!!!!!!!! :-D I've wanted a '65 vette forever! My uncles best friend had a convertible '65 vette. I got to ride in it a few times and thought I was lord of all that I surveyed, while in that thing. Then his wife got pregnant and she told him he had to sell it and but a family car! :-x I remember that day, all too well. :-( Take care of that car girl!!!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D

Big - I will take care of it...it was in fact my first obsession! :-D My Mom belonged to a Corvette Club (Glass Class Corvettes) when I was little and we would do the weekend show circuits. It was a lot of fun! I'm planning on giving it to my little girl when she is older (if she is responsible enough!!)...keep it in the family. It's in MI right now and should be moved to TX within 6 months...fingers crossed! Later, Patti :-) [addsig]

I had to drive my dad's 1994 Mercury villiager which has like 260k miles on it. it was a beast And I drove it like a ricer  . I only drove it to work and stuff for about 6 months then I had a little cash in my pocket found myself my dream car (my YJ) I'm only 17 so i'm still kinda on my first car.[addsig]

My first car which I still have parked in my garage, is a 1974 volvo 144...let me tell you it's on ugly, but good looking car. At First it looks like a box, but after owning it I love the way it looks. This car has never been rebuilt never had any major work done on it. And it just keeps on tickin. It's rear wheel drive and let me tell you, It likes to go off road. Living in the county It gets to see a lot of it, and while all my friends had 4 wheel drive trucks and jeeps I had my volvo. That thing would do pretty much anything that the others could do. That car thought me a lot about off roading with two wheel drive and now I find myself not using 4wd in my jeep sometimes just to see if I could do it. I feel secure knowing that if my jeep ever gets stuck I have a tow vehicle sitting at home waiting on me. The car has a 4 banger that puts out I think just over 75 horse with a 4spd trans. It's like the prefect setup for offroading or going thru the snow. That car saw 20 inches of snow 2 years ago and it didn't even get stuck once. I don't ever plan on getting rid of that car, it means to much to me. [addsig]

Lets see, my first vehicle was a 1997 ford escort, 2.0L 4cyl 5-speed. I got it when me and my dad both went in on the jeep (i paid 2000 and he paid 1900). The escort was my dads car, so i took it while he was having his fun in the jeep. Surprisingly it only took him 2 weeks to have fun in it, so after that I took it over. For some reason, my dad is always wanting to drive jeep (i mean who wouldnt?) but he had his chance and its my ride now.[addsig]

First ride was a 64 1/2 Mustang I got when I was 12. They drug it off of the flat bed, and it took 4 years to restore. My first hoopty was a 77 Dodge Aspen 2 door hard top. Camel color with white vinal half top, slant 6 motor. Couldn't kill it.
It's still on the road with about 300,000 miles on it. My friends daughter drives it, and calls it her Hoopty.

my first car? 1990 honda CRX si (black)... loved it, put tons of money into it... (got it for free.) turned around last august and sold it at a profit AFTER all the money i put into it, then bought my jeep for a hundred bucks more than the rice burner sold for.[addsig]

Mine was a 1985 regular cab long bed ford rander, I tore the crap outta it too. I remember one time I blew out the drivers side manifold making it backfire through straight exhaust, it was a blast! Bought it for 2,000, and sold it for 1,400 with the transmission going out and it seemed like about 3 of the 6 squirrels had died under the hood, hahahha, I saw it once on the road and never again, wish I still had that truck.[addsig]

I have you all beat. Before I came to my sences and bought my jeep I had a 1995 Ford Escort. I always called it Burgandy...no it was like magenta. I wanted a rice rocket, but i made due with what i had, so I lowered my "ruby" put exahust and intake on her. Installed a $1500 stereo, ground effects...the whole nine yards. Funny thing is that when I traded her in to get my TJ they only gave me $700 for her. "Bastards" :-x [addsig]

The consistent message being portrayed here is that we all beat the living heck out of our first rides...poor little things... :-( :-D [addsig]

I think everyone beats up on their first ride pretty good. Thats just what 16yr olds do...some of us just dont out grow it..[addsig]

Yeah my first hoopty was a unique one. It was a 85, 4dr, hatch back, 4wd, 5spd honda civic.. and then it broke down and was stuck driving the v6 astro van.... so After looking all over for something I can fit in(im 6'7") and I like I got a jeep because it was such a great deal.
