Fiat Chrysler Automotive has announced a major expansion at Toledo's Jeep Assembly plant.
The company plans to add 700 new jobs to the Toledo workforce. It's a $700 million dollar investment that will prepare the plant for full production of the 2017 Wrangler and the Wrangler Pick-Up Truck.
According to a release from the FCA, "The Company will also invest $700 million in the Toledo Assembly Complex (Ohio) to retool the North plant to produce the next generation Jeep Wrangler. Approximately 700 new jobs will be added. An announcement regarding the future of the South plant will be made at a later date. "
