Engine Swap 6 cyl. to 8

Changing 258ci 6 cyl. to a 304 v-8. Can any one help me with the distributor wiring and any other electrical changes I need to look for?

I don't think there will be any major wiring changes except the lengths. Get a good Chilton or Haynes book. The Haynes has good wiring diagrams. Are you building a 304 or buying one used? If you are building, then you better sit down with a calculator because you can build/buy a chevy 350 and all adapters cheaper. Trust me on that one. I put about $3000 in a Jeep 360 before I even knew it. For that you can get a Vortec with adapters, harness and computer.

definitely much better to go vortec if everything is included
