Where do I get one of these? How much do they cost? I think I saw one recently that was like 800 bucks... I sure hope Im wrong.[addsig]

They don't have to be $800. I'm sure you could find some bling-bling joint all chromed out or something for that price :-D You can pick up a complete drive shaft with a double cardon joint from Tom Wood's for under $400. I'd guess the D.C. joint by itself is in the $100 neighborhood.[addsig]

No bling bling needed here, its just gonna get muddy. I didn't know you can buy the double cardon joint itself. I think I still need a longer driveshaft though, for the SOA... so I'll just buy the complete set. This TomWoods have a website? Thanks[addsig]

When I bought by transmission, I got a lot of extra parts. Included in those was a front driveshaft from a Cherokee, which happens to have the double cardan joint on it... I can also buy more if I wish, at a junkyard here for $10 each... then the driveshaft shop aroud here charges $40 to cut it and balance it... so... for $50... I'd say its a good deal.. I don't know how shipping would be, or i'd help you guys out[addsig]

Snitty, that's what I'm going to do for my rear shaft, cut down an XJ front CV shaft. Best to get it out of an older XJ that used .120" wall tubing.[addsig]

I noticed that everywhere I look I need to take a measurement of the length shaft I need. How would I know what this is unless I am in the middle of doing the lift? It does have to be lifted to take the measurement right? That Tom Woods site has some good combo deals on SYE and DC CV Shafts... I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow. Thanks for the help... Joopin, tell Tom Woods what Jeep you have and what type of lift you are installing, they should be able to hook you up, possibly without measurements.[addsig]
