Do all Jeeps come with the same gearing?

I'd just like to know if all the YJ's came with the same gearing or if there was any options to have different gearing for towing ect. If they did come with different gearing, is there a number on the axles, transmission or transfercase that would tell what gears are installed? If not, is there any way to tell without pulling off the diff cover? Would Jeep be able to tell me with my VIN number?[addsig]

If your jeep has the 5spd transmission, it most likely has 3.07 gears. 3.55 or 3.73 if it has an auto.

There is a number on the tag bolted to the diff covers. First three numbers on the top row. Let us know what you got :-D [addsig]
