Remember when i got run over by that witch on my traffic stop a few months back then she fled? We went to court today and heres what happened:

Hooorah! Sorry just a little venting. She apologized for all that I have had to go thru (i.e. surgery and all), but never apologized for what she did. She was more sorry that she got caught. The judge lit her up and I got to say some real heartfelt words, I even addressed her as to what her reckless disregard for my life and well being has done to my family, which inlcudes a 16 month old daughter who was in surgery at the time i was in court today. (She did great and didn't even know she had surgery. Clogged tear ducts were cleared) She felt no remorse. Her mother cried to me on the way out the door apologizing for her daughter and telling me she prays everyday that everything will be ok for me. I think the judge was more ****ed that she left me in the road way like a "dying dog" as he called it, which Maryland law also requires stopping and reporting to police. Sorry better go to bed, big day again tomorrow. All I can say is ding dong the witch goes to jail.

Yeah, boy, she really looks like a winner. Glad she got a little of what she should get. Did she have insurance? I would slap a lawsuit on her so big, she would want to stay in jail longer than the six months.

haha rite! i think 6 months is pretty weak considering what she did. she deserves more time than that... how goes the rehab on ur legs man?

Well Glad they caught the B*TCH, that is just wrong. what is worse is she had to of seen you well... i guess i have been about ran over a few times just stopping traffic while we backed a fire truck up after a call, would think they would see this HUGE RED truck blocking the road let alone a guy in Full yellow turn out gear standing in the road but anyways. Am glad she is going away for a bit. I hope you get to feeling better and your rehab and all goes all right. Im sure I speak for most of us when I say We will be hoping for the best for you and your family!!!

6 months ain't nearly enough.....but it's better than nothing, huh? Be a shame if she got some street justice, wouldn't it? You carry a throw-down, don't you? heheheheheheh.......j/k.

I'm still praying for your full recovery every day, Jim. I just hope that you are able to keep a positive attitude, as I've said before, that goes a lot farther than medical help. Hang in there and GET WELL SOON!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone. I know she deserved a lot more time but thankful for 6 months with the judge we had. Just to give you an idea he was mad abotu what she did and he only gave her 6 months. Imagine the cases where he doesn't care (i.e. anything that does not effect him). Anyhow, physical therapy is alright. Hurts like all hell, but i grit my teeth and bare it. My progress is not coming forth like they want it to. My knee seems to be plateauing at 98 degrees and i still can't move my foot, sounds like nerve damage. They say I can start partial weightbaring at the end of next week with crutches. I get a smaller brace in 2 weeks yeah. But there was some damage that was unrepairable and it is more than likely going to kill my career. I pray to god that it doesn't but if it does it means i will get better hours. No more 60 hour/ 24 hour week then shift rotation.

All my best in your continued rehab. The verdict aside, I'm left questioning the mother apologizing for her adult child.

If parents would stop making excuses for their kids when young, or accuse coaches, teachers and other adults of "damaging their child's psyche" there may be less of this kind of thing.

My parents loved me without reservation and I knew it ... but if I screwed up badly, neither was afraid to kick my butt if needed to get my attention and show me where I went wrong.

Sorry for the rant. God's speed, my friend.

I know what you 're saying. Too many parents now adays are sticking up for bad kids and try to cover up the wrongdoings. Besides that the woman was 36 years old and did not need an adult to apologize for her. I agreed with everything she said, but i felt like saying, " thats all fine and good, but this should be coming from your daughter". Anxiety disorders don't make people act the way she did.

probably because the defense attorney had he rboyfriend testify that THEY no longer drink due to past problems and even when she did drink she only had a few sips from a bottle. She wasn't charged with any alcohol related offenses due to lack of evidence, no mention of odor of alcohol or beer bottles etc, yet they felt the need to testify that she doesn't drink. Can we say guilty. Alls i can say is what comes around goes around. She'll get the ultimate payback in life.
