diamond plate???

checkin otu rocker guards...and i found some diamond plate ones...are they worth it? they are def the chepest but i dunno if they can take a hit...anyone currently have these on their rig?anyone seen them in action?

Well they look good but if you want something to take a hit go with 1/4" x 4" x 4" angle iron! Cheaper and better and brother they will take a lick. tug

Yeah man you said you wouldnt need them for mud but that tree stump took a bite out of you step. I hate those stock steps catch all the mud

i'm with tug... angle iron is the way to go... easily replaceble if needed too

how thick is the diamond plate?
we use some in our shop that is 1/4" thick. this stuff would be tough!

hey olyeller, how much would you charge for a sheet of that diamond plating? That's thick! I need 3 sheets. 1= 9.25" x 13" 2= 12" x 9" 3= 12" x 9" . It is for my friend's Toyota Pickup. I am building him a new dash portion. How about shipping?

If your doing the dash, do it in aluminum diamond plate. you can use 1/16" like a laminate and easy to work with.

bryanjeep - you may want to check with a local fab shop - the 1/4" diamond plate is expensive as it is and the shipping cost on this stuff would be expensive, since it is so heavy. i'll check pricing for you and get back with you, but it'll probably be a lot cheaper for you to get it locally.
