Dash light

Just wondering if anyone knows what this green light is. It flashes on and off if I jiggle my headlight/blinker stick. 2002 Wrangler.

Driving lights. If you pull out on the knob it should turn them on.

Pull out on the knob? I had a 98 Wrangler and I was able to pull that headlight knob out, but that knob was above my left knee on the dash. In my 02 Wrangler, the knob (which controls both the headlights and is the blinker, if that makes sense) is on the steering column, and I don't know that it pulls out in any way. Also, that green light only shows up when I start to jiggle the stick, usually it is off. I guess I'm unaware that the blinker stick pulls out.

Ya the very end should pull out a 1/4 inch. This turns on the driving lights if equipt. May have a short in the switch.

Huh, that's really interesting, I had no idea the end of my blinker even pulled out like that. Is there a real point to that? If I turn the end of that knob once it turns the same lights on (just the 4 orange blinker lights are on constantly) and I have to turn it twice for the headlights to come on. In other words, I don't have to pull the end out to get the same effect. Unless it is shorted and it's suppose to turn the headlights on low or something. I remember my 98 Wrangler always had the headlights on by default, you could not ever turn them off unless the Jeep was off, but they were really dim driving headlights.

Hey anytime. U can wire aftermarket lights to it as well as long as the are around 55 watts that way your interior stays clean.

Awesome! I think I may do that now that I have this information. I think the original wiring harnesses for each light are hanging right under my blinker lights on the front corners of the wheel wells. I think that is what those are for anyway.

I believe that's where they tied them off. Should two wires each. U can always check with a test light to make sure.

I will test them for sure, this is the wire I'm talking about, one on each side of the Jeep. The conduit covers 2 separate wires, and I'm guessing most aftermarket or even stock fog lamps are able to use that plug.

That's them. Worst comes to worst cut off the connector and solder or go to a dealer and get the pig tail and solder that. Endless possibilities. Lol.

Cool! Yeah, I'm not too worried about getting them wired, I just got done making my own dome light switch so I don't have to pull the fuse every time I want to take the doors off haha

That's your driving lights. Try switching to bright lights...it should go out.

If your driving lights are not burning (and are not burned out), you probably have a short in the switch (expensive) or have crossed wired while installing an accessory.
