has any one put one of these under a jeep? does it stick out too far? what about hubs are there hubs on this axle? need help bad. i found a really good deal and i want to put a 44 under the front of my jeep but dont know where to start on this. im just buying the housing with nothing elsebut the gears.... all info can help thanks. :?

Is the punkin on the correct side???

And, yes, I said "punkin"... Habit... It's the nickname I have for my wife who is off doing her Air Force duty in Oman atm...

Width will be close to stock, it may or may not have locking hubs, it may have a vacuum disconnect like YJ's. Lug pattern will be 6 lug, so it won't match the rear. Diff could be on either side.

well the diff is on the driver side so its good, i dont think this was a vaccum disconnect axle there is no vaccume unit on it but is it possible to make it a fully locked hub like on my TJ?and also can i get axles with a 5 lug set up for that dana to fit my jeep?

The 44 is about 3/4" longer than a 30. Take the auto locking hubs off and install new manual hubs. You might have to shorten your drag link to the pitman arm depending on your lift. If it has a vacuum unit on it, plan on replacing it. They don't last long. You can send a used set of axels out to moser engineering to get redrilled for a five lug. I just finished installing mine. If you have anymore question let me know.
