custom long arm

I am considering fabricating my own long arm suspension I will model it after the re one. Has anyone done this before. I was just going to cut the old control arm mounts off and re weld them farther back. Then get some tube steel and make them adjustable.

sounds fine to me... many many people make custom suspension.. the only thing is... with that multilink setup.. it has to be precise

thats why I am going to make it adjustable at all 8 ends Should I use heim joints I think I might

Washington Capital area Jeep club.

I have done it with heim joints and found that they did not hold up. I now use the Daystar poly flex joints, they are very strong and have not given me any problems. The geometry is pretty percise, even with adjustables you can run into problems. Think it out and map it out thourghly before you get to far.
