My '91 cherokee cruise control is misbehaving. It started surging a while back. Found some bad vacuume lines so replumbed all of them. While at it I checked vacuume on the tank and the control servo and then on the entire new plumbing and everything held good vac. Now the cruise is just nuts. When I first head to work I engage it after about 3 miles. It sets, then takes off like a scalded dog. No surging, no setting there nice, just go straight to flight speed. Can't use the cruise for the rest of the drive to work. Returning home, can't get the thing to work at all until after about 20 or so miles and the the same again. Hit the set and away she goes! Any help out there? 4.0L straight 6 manual.
