converter lockup

I am a new jeep liberty owner and I find that the converter does not 'lock up' until 62mph. All auto xmission vehicles that I have ever ovned locked up between 40 - 48mph. The economy is good if traveling at speeds over 62mph but most speed limits are 55mph around here and at 55 the rpm 2200rpm; at 60mph the tac is 2500rpm. When the converter locks up at 62, the tac drops to 1900rpm. Any Jeep Liberty owners out there noticed this on their Liberty? Big John[addsig]

Know little to nothing about Liberty: But curious, is it a computer controlled transmission? Does it shift late? Or are the shifts irregular some soon, some late? Who´s transmission is it? Jeep doesn´t make there own, usually made under contract by another major manufacturer.[addsig]

This is what the CRD does, but you did not mention if you had the CRD or gas engine.
