Coming from toyota background. just bought my first jeep.

As mentioned I come from Toyota. been building and wheeling those since I was 8. Jeep vs. Toyota has been a major rivalry forever here and as such my friends are not happy about me stepping over the fence. Just bought an 80 cj5 with 304 t-176 trans and Dana 300 t case. Other than that all I know about it is that it is a rat's nest of red wire.

My first Jeep was an 80 CJ5 as well. It was so rusted you could look through one side and see out the other.

They sound awesome with that 304 but they are held up with bailing wire. She needs some tlc and some smaller tires.

A Jeep is pure American like GI Joe. It's history has its place in many war vets. The difference in a Jeep and a Toyota is a time told argument.
