CJ7 front clip on a YJ or going retro

Ok Ive seen it done and like the look. Has anyone here done it? How hard is it? Any modification needed?

Main issue is the taller CJ grille requiring less of a body mount beneath it, and the grille may interfere with the power steering pump. It's possible and it's been done many times.

Many use a 1" body lift and only a stock body mount beneath the CJ grille. Then notch the CJ grille for the steering box.

Also, there is a kit you can buy, but go about it the old fashion way!

Terry Mason, the webmaster of this site did that swap on his 85 CJ, I think he put on a 87 or so YJ tub. He would be a good one to ask but hes hard to find these days. Last I heard he was trying to get his engine going.
