What I have is an 85 CJ-7 Renegade that I bought about a month ago. It was a friends that was sitting around for about three years and was supposed to just get me throught the winter.
After driving it for two weeks it began to blow continuous white smoke, so I pulled the motor and put in a used motor I found off Ebay, Once the swap was completed
I tried firing it up only to find that the valves were not opening and closing so I'm at the point were its time to get rid of it.
Here is a list of parts that have been put into it over the past three years, These parts are basically new since it has not been inspected since 11 of 2000,
6" skyjacker soft ride system with steering stabilzer.
2" conifer shackles
rebuilt 4 speed transmission
new radiator
new brakes, front and rear
new brake lines
new gas line
new heavy duty rear drive shaft, previous owner spent about $400.00 on it.
new clutch
It also has a 9000lb ramsey winch with cable remote and recovery gear(clevis, straps) mounted on
a heavy duty front bumper.
33x 12.5 BFG Mud Terrain, 75% tread left
complete hard top with full doors

two motors
The Bad,
Rotted floor pans on the drivers and passengers side.
A few other rust spots on the body but have been patched.
The body is probably a 5 out of 10
The motor that is out of it did run fine but needs a new head gasket.
