cj wipers?

help.i cant get my wipers to work.i put on a new wiper motor,changed the switch and still they dont work.the linkage is not bound up.the motor worked when i hooked it directly to the battery.when i test for power at the motor with it hooked up all three wires have power when the key is on regardless of what position the switch is in.that dosnt seem right to me but im at a loss of what to try next.anybody know the answer this is driving me nuts. :roll:

check for a ground. My wipers went on the blink and started working after i began loosening the windshield knobs.

i hooked up my test light to a good ground and to the side of the motor my test light lit up.
