AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Chrysler LLC is offering most of its employee discount to military personnel, customers returning leased vehicles and employees of many parts suppliers. The discounts run through Sept. 30. They amount to the employee price plus a $200 fee and apply to nearly all 2008 and 2009 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge models that are in dealer stocks.

In addition, Chrysler U.S. employees and retirees can give one additional employee discount to a friend or neighbor. That's in addition to six employee discounts they can offer family members.

In the industry, employee discounts generally run 10 percent below the invoice price, although they vary by model.

The company said Thursday all incentives can be used in addition to the discounts.

My brother just returned his new silverado back to the dealer because he got activated and has to go back overseas for the 3rd time since 1990......

He said he didn't want the wife driving/wrecking it while he was gone for a year. Can't say as I blame him! :)
