I am hoping to do a V8 converstion to the next Jeep I own. Oh, and 'troy- the LT1 that is in my Camaro made peak torque at 2400 rpm, thats pretty low if you ask me. And if you put in a 4x4 cam, it will be even lower, so it all depends on how the motor is set up to perform and at what RPM range.
I would say def. go with the V8 for sure. Not only is it 'bad-a$$ points' but you have more than enough power. I look at it as its better to more than enough power than to be hoping you had more!!![addsig]
