hey,
i was wondering what the cheapest engine swap for a 2000 tj is? From the this engine swap i was hoping for at least 250 ponies and how many lbs of torque does the 4.0 have? 260? well just a 50 lb increase in torque.

Any thoughts?

to summarize:

cheapest engine swap with 250 horsepower and a 50 lb. increase of torque from the 4.0.

thanks,
Tom

stroking a 4.0 is a great idea, Depending on how you do it, I see possible daily drivability issues with a stroked 4.0.

second, you have been asking a lot of build questions, it might be in your best interest, strictly from a monitary stand point to sell your jeep and buy one that is already built correctly the way you want it. more and more people are switching to light weight buggies (in my area at least) and moderately built jeeps are popping up for sale for really good prices. from what you have been posting, your looking at at least a $15000 investment, $15000 can buy a sick TJ already built.

Wait question about buggies. How much do they cost and how much planning is put into them? Are they good in really deep water? Not really thinking of getting one but I was just wondering.

Btw im not sure if I could get a jeep with 37's and engine swap that is street legal because I was looking at that before thinking of just building my jeep
