Central Texas is nice

We are in burnet for a swim meet. If I didn't need to put tires on the jeep, this would've been a perfect test run to see how it does on the highway for gas mileage. It took us 5 hours to get here from corpus christi.

And this is the best tank on the jeep so far. I am just barely past half on the gauge and reading 140 on the odometer. If we would've driven the jeep, I bet we wouldve gotten over 250 to the tank.

WE are now in the Alamo drafthouse movie theatre which is a restruant movie theatre and we are eating dinner and wagging avengers. I would watch movies here all the time if we had one in corpus. Our waitress is super cool and the seats are very comfy

We are now in corpus. What a long day on the road. Left burnet to marble falls and watche swim meet, from there to the feed store BBQ restruant and then to San Antonio. We took the scenic route in San Antonio and went to the palladium since that's the wife's favorite theatre but it was sold out. We headed around 410 towards lackland with plans of staying on base over night and heading out in the morning but we saw the Alamo draft house and stopped in to watch the movie and eat. After that, since it was only about 2000, I figured why stay in San antonio since we will be home about the time I get off work anyways so I hit the road for home. Cruised listening to some oldies (80s and 90) and sung my way home. I really like that they raised the speed limit to 75mph on the smaller highways because I always cruise at 79 anyways so now I don't have to worry about cops. Just pulled in about 10 minutes ago so 16 hours after the alarm went off, and half of Texas away, I get to go to bed in my onw comfortable bed.


And I get to driven jeep all day tomorrow.

Your 45mins away from me in the Hill country of Texas. Have fun and be safe!!.. I went to Houston last thursday and friday to pick up my daughter from U of H to bring her home for summer break. On the way there thursday, we went through a tornado that hit Weimar just before Shullenburg.. That was a mess...

Nope, it's about 3 1/2 hours away from where i live.
