Cat Converter Inlet Size

Does anybody know the diameter of the Cat.Converter's pipe on a stock 89 YJ 2.5L? It looks to be between 2" and 2 1/2", but I'm not sure. Is the outlet size different than the inlet size? I'm replacing it with straight pipe and wanted to know. Thanks.

HI, i think the pipe size is a 2 & 1/4

If it helps any, the cherokee exhausts are all 2.25" :mrgreen:
