Can anyone give me an approxomite number of turns out for the odle mixture screws to use as an initial setting for my newly rebuilt carb?
It's on a '79 CJ7
thanks!
Try turning the idle mixture screws in until the Jeep almost dies then take them out one full turn, that is a pretty good start point. Make sure the engine is nice and warm.
id turn each of the nuts at the four corners of the base on the carb-intake mount enough to where the carb can be lifted off. then Id cut every hose and wire going to it, and using 100lbs of force, -rip it out of the engine bay, then whip it in the garbage can. install a new weber or motocraft and you should be experiencing excellent idles, graceful acceleration, never a stall, and glorious performance.
