and on a sidenote: all this celebrity poker stuff gives me the chills. all these people with so much money to spend and dont really care if they lose it. i play cause i love it. 20 bucks to play will give me a night of fun with my friends and the potential to win $100-200. i'm a poor college student, so i'm not playing cause i see it on tv, i play cause i think i'm a good enough player to give myself a chance to win. but now that poker has become so mainstream, i cant even go to foxwoods (casino in CT) and sit down at a table with less than $100 and expect to play against people playing real poker. its attracted all the tourists and yuppies. so now you sit at a table in the casino, and as much as you think you might have figured someone out, when they dont know what they're doing, there's no way to predict them, so as good/average/poor as my skills may be, you'd never be able to tell at the table.
all in all, i love poker, i love watching the main event at the world series of poker, and hey, the spelling bee makes it on espn, why not poker? i just wish it hadnt become so mainstream and dragged in all the dead weight of people who have no idea what they're doing. cause believe it or not, at a low limit table in a casino, taking money from someone who has no idea what they're doing isnt always as easy as it sounds.
