Building These Disco's. Opinions?

Jhiggins built a set of these and I have seen them in action. They worked great and Josh never had any complaints.

interesting, i was thinkin about doin that 2 years ago when i put my lift on but i thought it would fail and the pin would break but after i went thru 2 sets of discos breaking on me i figure i got nuthin to lose, im gunna try that this week with my extended sway bar links from my lift that i never used. ill let u know how they turn out...

I made a set for my ZJ and a friend's XJ.. no trouble with them yet.. though i would strongly getting one extra set (pin, 2 washers & clip) in case you drop a piece in the dirt and can't locate it..... that way you can still hook back up before hitting the highway. also, you want a short bungee cord to tie the sway bar up & out of the way when disconnected. oh, and i used 7/16" pins.. they go in real smooth...

Prior to lifting my YJ, used that set up for my rear trac bar! Now with a lift, the springs flex too much and rip the heck out of the body, so I keep the trac bar on!

Howdy,

Well, I put eveything on there. It seems the 7/16" pins are slighty loose. Is this bad? Should the sway bar be on there tight?

I notice it "tips" just slighty more on turns.

a little slop won't kill yoiu... thats whee the extra roll comes from.. mine does that too... if you wanna fight with the 1/2" pins go for it, but the 7/16 fit nice..... also make sure you're on there good & tight with the clip and have washers on either end of it....

Re: '87 wrangler ????

Sounds good. I didn't get a washer for one side. Only have the stock washer on there now. Will have to pick up another two tomorrow morning. Any recommended washer size? Same size as stock, I would assume would be fine?

take a pin with you to get proper inner diameter.. i fund a standard 3/8 washer fit perfect....
