Bondo vs ?????

I need to patch a hole in the side of my jeep where the antenna used to be. I have used Bondo in the past but it has cracked under impact. Does anyone know of a better alternative??????

The best is new metal. You can cut out a metal plug that's alittle smaller than the hole, then weld it in place.

I've used some of the new POR15 bondo type products, and they rock. Like a cross between bondo and resin. They make a floorboard repair kit like what you want - designed to fill holes in the floor board.

You could also do a combo of these. Weld a larger metal plate behind the hold, then bondo over the outside.

Ya bondo isn't really designed to fill in a hole. The best thing to do is what Terry said and weld a piece in there first, then use bondo to smooth it out.

ya best bet would be to weld in a patch then use yout filler to smooth it out.
